How we know, and how we don't
When a manufacturer does not publish a number, we print Not published and leave it there. We do not fill the gap with an estimate, a review quote, or a guess.
We do not physically test products, and we never pretend otherwise. What we publish is research and analysis, kept separate from anything we could not verify. The full method, including its limits
Found a figure we got wrong? Tell us. Corrections are published and dated, and they take priority over everything else we do.
- Trade-offs stated. Every pick names who should skip it, in the same block as the buy link.
- Weighting shown. Each guide publishes which specifications it weighted and by how much, so you can disagree with it.
